An homage to one of my favourite spaces.

Fischersund is an art collective in Reykjavík founded by Sigur Rós frontman Jónsi and his siblings Inga, Lilja and Sigurrós.

I've lost count how many times I've been to the little black house - it's an ever evolving space of scent, sound and visual art and was the former recording studio for Jónsi. The homemade Schnapps are pretty good too!

I've been a big fan of Sigur Rós for over 20 years. Since discovering their music, I always had two dreams; to see them play in Reykjavík and to see them perform with an orchestra. I was lucky enough to experience both on Sunday at the Harpa. The icing on the cake was that I got to photograph it.

In what was an incredible night, @sigurros played songs from their latest orchestral album as well as many from the last 27 years, supported by @eljakammersveit and conducted by @robertamesmusic. It is definitely a night that will live long in my memory.
